Pasco Upcycle and Arts Festival Looking for Vendors
We had so much fun and an amazing turnout at the last Pasco Upcycle and Arts Festival that we decided to do it again. This will be the third year for the event, which will take place on Saturday, November 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will once again be located in the beautiful Sims Park located at 6431 Bank Street in Downtown New Port Richey.
Last year there were approximately 3,300 attendees and 80 vendors including those with pallet furniture, roosters made from golf cart tires, spoon bracelets, baked goods, and food trucks. This year we added an art component as well. There is no vendor charge. We are currently looking for vendors that fit one of the following categories:
~ Upcycle Vendors reusing and/or repurposing materials
~ Artists utilizing various mediums
~ Businesses/individuals with locally grown food, baked goods, or packaged goods such as jam or honey
~ Food truck vendors
There will be no admission to enter the festival. The entertainment is already booked and we are thrilled to have The Hummingbirds, Ken Carlyle and the Cadillac Cowboys, and Brian Scott & Friends. If you love stand up bass, banjoes, and Americana music you will definitely want to stop by.
This event is in conjunction with America Recycles Day. Many people hear waste reduction and think of the standard household recycling of aluminum cans at the curb, but the options are much broader than that. Many things can be reused to reduce the amount of waste in our environment. There is a term for the ingenious process of reinventing something with a new purpose: upcycle. The purpose of the Pasco Upcycle and Art Festival is to reduce waste by changing peoples’ perceptions of what can be salvaged into not only something useful, but often times a work of art.
The estimated attendance for the event is 5,000. For more information on the event email info@keeppascobeautiful.org or call (727) 856-7252.
